Accessibility statement

Effective October 13, 2026.

How we work to make THE SURR site usable for everyone, and how to tell us when it is not.

Our goal

We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification or reduced motion settings. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

What we have done

  • Motion. The background video on the home page has a Pause video button. If your device is set to reduce motion, the video does not load and you see a still photograph instead.
  • Keyboard. Pages, menus and forms can be used with a keyboard, and the focus outline is visible.
  • Reading. Text is set against backgrounds with enough contrast, and the pages work at larger text sizes and on phones.
  • Forms. Fields have labels and errors say what to fix. The anti-bot check on The SURR Lineup form does not ask you to solve a puzzle.
  • Images. Photographs that carry meaning have descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.

Where we still fall short

This site is new and we keep testing it. Some parts may not work well for everyone yet. The renderings and site plan are visual and we are adding written descriptions. The video is a background and carries no information that is not also in the text.

The card you can print after joining The SURR Lineup is a graphic. If you cannot read it, contact us and we will send you the same words in a plain text format.

Tell us if something does not work

If you cannot use any part of this site, or need information in another format, please use the contact page or email info@surfthesurr.com and tell us the page and what happened. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix the problem or offer another way to get what you need.
